Located in a former monastery at the base of the Aventine Hill, the St. Stephen's School is blessed both with easy access to Rome's architectural and artistic treasures, and with an inspirational Roman-style facility constructed around a central courtyard. Despite its beauty, the school is old and in constant need of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
Unfortunately, tuition fees alone do not provide enough support to meet these needs. Capital Gifts are required to bridge the gap and give donors an opportunity to make a larger gift to the School over time. Capital gifts may be made in pledges which can be paid over a period of three to five years.
Capital giving also allows donors to create a perpetual link between their names, or the names of those they wish to honor, and St. Stephen's School by naming a classroom or special room in the school.
Over the past decade, donor support has helped make possible many vital enhancements to our physical plant - improvements that impact the lives of our students and faculty on a daily basis. Recent examples include the newly installed seating in the auditorium, the resurfacing of the sports courts, the digitization and renovation of the library, the recently completed Science laboratory, and improvements to the boarding facilities.
