“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”
Muhammad Ali

St. Stephens believes that community service encourages students to develop into more well rounded, thoughtful and caring global citizens, and to this end, we expect all students to involve themselves in service learning. Service work gives each student an opportunity to dedicate yourself to a cause you believe in. It is a chance to help create a better world.

There are many service clubs and activities offered at St. Stephen’s and students also have the chance to create new clubs in the event that an interest is not already represented. Please see the attached list of all activities for the 2015-2016 academic year, as well as the student leaders of each activity and teacher supervisor.

Activities meet during the school day, after school, and on weekends. Students may also involve themselves in service work outside of school, but first need the approval of Mrs. Johnson-Mottola, the Director of Service Learning. If you have any questions, please contact her at elizabeth.johnson@sssrome.it.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Meade
