I am son of an artist and Japanese citizen. I was born in Rome where I lived for 28 years. I studied in the Japanese School of Rome until I became student at the St. Stephen's, supported by financial aids. After the IB diploma, I enrolled at La Sapieza where I studied Biological Sciences and did research on HIV. I continued in Vienna with biomedical research on lethal neglected tropical diseases, at the Max F Perutz Laboratories where I defended my PhD in 2013. Since then, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology at the University of Oxford, where I continue research in the field of biology. In April 2015, I was awarded with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship from the European Commission. Since 2017 January, I am also Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College, University of Oxford.

I graduated SSS in 2014 and I went on to read Political Economy at King’s College London. Having realized over the course of that year that Politics was not aligned with my interests and career prospects (and having acknowledged that it was too early for me to properly enjoy London) I moved back to Italy. I enrolled in an Economics and Finance Bachelor at Bocconi University (Milan) where I am expected to graduate this year. My keen interest in Finance makes me want to pursue it as a career (at least in the medium term). I am now contemplating studying towards a Masters degree in Finance starting this fall in France or the UK.
At Bocconi, I have been Vice President of the University’s Finance Society where I was responsible for organizing events with professionals of the industry as well as for establishing partnerships with leading employers. During the summer of my 2nd year, I interned at Italy’s sovereign private equity fund (CDP Equity), a fund that invests in companies that are strategically relevant for the Italian economy. I still play football in my spare time and have recently began golfing with a team of students that occasionally travels around northern Italy to take part in golf tournaments.
Feel free to drop contact me to discuss Bachelor degrees in Finance/Economics and related career prospects.
