In 2000 I obtained an M.A. in Political Science – Political and Historical Studies at the Sapienza University of Rome – with a thesis on “The British press and racism”. Subsequently, I went abroad to study Spanish in Salamanca and decided to become a language teacher. After working in the Italian Refugee Council press office, I studied at DILIT International House to receive a Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language diploma.
Since 2001 I have been teaching Italian at the University Luiss Guido Carli, the Roma Tre University, the Australian Embassy, the Pontifical North American College. I have been teaching asylum seekers, refugees and foreign high school students as a member of the Italian Language Department in Upter University in Rome. I have also taught the CILS preparation courses, administered CILS exams and mentored the teacher training program. In 2003 I joined the NGO Leaozinho as a volunteer Italian teacher to Brazilian high school students in a poor area near Natal, Brazil.
Since 2010 I am teaching first-year students of the Eastern Church Studies and Eastern Canon Law of the Pontifical Oriental Institute and since 2013 I am instructing personnel at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Holy See. In 2015 I joined the Italian Department at St. Stephen’s International School.
