The 2019 Italian Immersion

Arts & Humanities

St. Stephen’s encourages a harmonious balance of intellect and creativity. The summer program is an extension of our annual scholastic offer, giving Italian speaking participants the opportunity to explore academic and artistic interests in a program tailored to their individual passions.

  • The 2019 Italian Immersion Arts & Humanities Program dates: June 16 - June 29, 2019
  • Our program is open to students 13 - 17 years of age with some prior knowledge of Italian
  • Fee: 2,800 Euro

Summer 2019 core courses feature Renaissance/Baroque Art History and Ancient Roman Topography (a St. Stephen's School signature course). Both courses are conducted in the historical center of Rome, allowing students to visit significant monuments and sites and thus attain an in-depth knowledge of the city through our daily field trips.

The 2019 elective courses will include Creative Writing, Latin, and Drawing & Sketching Rome. This session also includes evening and weekend Cultural Programs. Events are held on-site around the city of Rome, outings to important landmarks in the city opened for special evening visits, and excursions to different neighborhood and ice cream shops (gelaterie) in Rome. There will also be a day trip to Pompeii and Sorrento during the weekend of June 21-22.
