Every year, studens are awarded for their academic accomplishments. During the hour-and-a-half long ceremony, dozens of St Stephen's students were awarded a variety of prizes that covered all disciplines: Latin, English, math, science, the performing arts, sports and many more.
The full list of Prize Day recipients will be available tomorrow, so please check for updates on our Latest News post. More Prize Day images will soon be loaded to our School Facebook page, and will also appear in the summer issue of The Cortile magazine, to be released soon.
...on a tram! On Tuesday, the entire Boarding Department enjoyed their last meal of the season together before boarding seniors head back home over the weekend.
The end-of-the-year boarding dinner was a special community night evening that started with a trip to Piazza di Porta Maggiore to take Tram Tracks -- one of Rome's few remaining historic street trams -- where they dined on Greek food and listened to music. They stopped at the Museo Nazionale d'Arte Moderna and exchanged heart-felt messages with one another and "good-bye's" before heading back to school. It was a beautiful evening and a lovely finale to a wonderful year.
Our Boarding Department is the "heart of St. Stephen's," commented a teacher who had the pleasure of accompanying faculty and students on the excursion.
A big thanks to the Heads of Boarding--Katherine Young and Mike Mottola, and the entire boarding faculty, for creating a close-knit, family atmosphere for all 40 of our boarding students!
Please join us in celebrating the academic achievements of St Stephen's students! On Thursday, May 28th at 10:00am, each department will be handing out prizes to acknowledge the accomplishments of students in various aspects of their academic life from English, science, mathematics and other subjects to Model United Nations and service. Sports awards will also be handed out. Congratulations to all for a year of outstanding work!
