Meet the Lyceum Scholar in Residence Eldris Con Aguilar Monday, February 4 at 5:30 pm

We are inviting parents to come and meet the David N. Redden Lyceum Scholar in Residence, Eldris Con Aguilar, on Monday 4 February from 17.30 to 18.45. This will take place in the Library.
Eldris works at Leiden University and will be with us from Monday 4th through to Friday 8th February. She is specialized in education, cultural heritage, and heritage of indigenous people, especially in the Caribbean. She is part of NEXUS 1492, a research project that investigates the impacts of colonial encounters in the Caribbean, the nexus of the first interactions between the New and the Old World.
During her stay, Eldris will visit many classes, not only in the Classics department (Latin 2, Greek 2 and Greek SL, Latin 3, CGRS), but also in the History and Modern Languages department.
Eldris will give a talk to the whole school community during morning meeting on Monday 4th February from 10.05 till 10.35 (including time for questions), titled "Heritage Education: Memories of the Past in the Present".
