Earlier this week, students in IB Biology and IB Chemistry visited the Dphar laboratory in Anagni.

The Dphar Lab is Italy's leading biotechnology laboratory that produces antibiotics and enzymes from GMO bacteria. This visit gave St. Stephen's students a fantastic opportunity to see real-world applications of their biology and chemistry studies.

Their visit was followed by a trip to the Cathedral of Anagni to see Romanesque and Baroque frescoes from the early 1200s. St. Stephen's Residential Assistant and alumna Natalie Edwards gave an excellent tour of the cathedral, which made the entire experience an exciting blend of science and art.
