This virtual session continues a series of gatherings designed to bring families together and strengthen connections across the school community.
On Thursday, September 10, from 5:00–6:00 pm, Maria will host an online Connection and Conversation with the Head of School, offering parents and guardians an opportunity to meet her, hear from her directly, and join the conversation as the new school year gets underway.
The virtual gathering is designed to make that conversation accessible to families who were unable to attend recent in-person events due to travel, work commitments, or geographic distance. With a community that extends well beyond Rome, creating opportunities for parents and guardians to remain connected to the school—wherever they may be—is an important part of life at St. Stephen’s.
Tomorrow’s conversation follows two gatherings that brought families together during the opening days of the school year.
On September 2, St. Stephen’s welcomed new and returning families with the Buddy Families Aperitivo and Gelato. Designed to help families new to the School establish connections from the outset, the gathering provided an informal setting to meet other parents and guardians, ask questions, and begin building relationships within the community.
Earlier this week, on Monday, September 7, the Parents’ Committee Aperitivo brought parents, guardians, faculty, and members of the School community together at Via Aventina. Both gatherings also gave families the opportunity to meet Maria as she begins her first academic year as Head of School.
These opening events reflect the important role parents and guardians play in the St. Stephen’s community. Whether through informal gatherings, the work of the Parents’ Committee, or conversations with school leadership and faculty, family engagement helps build the relationships that support students throughout their time at the school.
From a welcome aperitivo and gelato to a gathering with faculty and now an online conversation with the Head of School, the first days of the new academic year have provided several ways for families to connect. Together, they mark the beginning of an ongoing dialogue between St. Stephen’s and its families throughout the year.
